Thank you to all of our families who made it out to the K-2 Pastries with Parents Event! To any who missed it – the event focused on early childhood literacy. Our staff members narrated the book I am Going! By Mo Williams. Parents and their children followed along and engaged in a writing activity about sentence fragments. For anyone who couldn’t make it, the PowerPoint with information on how you can help your student succeed in their literacy skills is here.
Mifflin High School students are partnering with Como Elementary School through the Reading Buddies program. As reading buddies, the Mifflin students foster a love for literacy among younger students and expose them to the arts.
Eleven Columbus City Schools have been honored by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce and Director Stephen Dackin for their exceptional progress and student growth on the latest Ohio State Report Card.

Did you know March 4-8 is Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Week?
The Reading Buddies program connects high school and elementary students. As reading buddies, they mentor students who may one day be Briggs students themselves.
Students at Georgian Heights Elementary School are learning about prominent Black individuals for Black History Month, and the history of one inventor prompted them to do a school-wide letter-writing activity.
